LUSAKA City Council (LCC) Town Clerk Liftery Ndaba has dragged blogger Chitambala Mwewa to court for defamation over a series of corruption allegations published on social media. In a statement of claim filed in the High Court, Ndaba said that on January 28, 2026, Mwewa published a video and text directly accusing him of corruption regarding a council car park. Ndaba said Mwewa called him corrupt, claiming that he was blocking a local black-owned business from securing a 13-year lease in order to convert the car park into a bus station for personal financial gain.
