Nkoma attributes kwacha appreciation to copper earnings


ECONOMIST Noel Nkoma has attributed the continued appreciation of the kwacha to the surge in copper prices on the international market and oversubscription of government securities. Nkoma has further urged citizens to take advantage of the strong performance of the kwacha and invest in productive sectors of the economy. According to the Bank of Zambia (BoZ) website, as at 12:30 hours yesterday, the kwacha was buying at K17.7 to a dollar and selling at K17.8.
