DONT VOTE BECAUSE A CELEBRITY OR INFLUENCER HAS ENDORSED A CANDIDATE OR PARTY – MUKUKA
Youth Alliance Zambia President and youth advocate Tiza Mukuka has urged young people to make careful decisions in the upcoming elections and strictly ignore all influencer and celebrity endorsements.
Mukuka said all musicians and social media influencers who publicly endorse presidential candidates do so for business interests only and get paid to do so.
He encouraged youths to support political parties that offer practical solutions to the challenges facing young people, noting that many Zambian youths continue to struggle with unemployment, poverty and limited opportunities.
Mukuka argues that some jobs have been created for educated people but people who had no privilege of going to school have always been left out.
Mukuka further called on voters to carefully scrutinise all presidential candidates, arguing that leadership should benefit all citizens, including those who were unable to attain formal education.
He urged voters to consider which candidate has the best ideas, is committed to truthfulness, and is capable of addressing the country’s challenges, rather than being influenced by popularity or campaign entertainment.
“Vote for issues, vote for truthfulness, and vote for the future you want to see,” Mukuka said.
