VICE President Mutale Nalumango says the UPND Government did not bring loadshedding but that President Hakainde Hichilema worked hard to solve it.
And Vice President Mutale Nalumango has told Chinsali electorate that she does not like lying because lying is a sin.
Addressing a rally yesterday, Nalumango wondered why the opposition has brought the lamp saying olden days of using lamps to light up houses are long gone.
“I tell you, they will not take us back to the lamp. We have refused, how can you bring a lamp today?
“There is solar today, they should not lie to you that there will be loadshedding after elections. We did not bring load shedding, but President Hakainde Hichilema has solved it [the load shedding problem],” the Vice President says
Quoting scripture, the Vice President said anyone who lies is of the devil.
“Some of us don’t like telling lies, we tell the truth because God is number one.
“God has not given an excuse that when you lie in the name of politics then it’s not sin. Even if you lie while politicking, it’s a sin. The Bible forbids us from sining. The Bible in John says you are of the devil, your father, who is the father of all lies,” Her honour the Vice President says.
She says the UPND Government’s target is 10, 000 megawatts that will enable the government to export the surplus.
“So we can’t lie. A child of God like me can’t lie. Load shedding will not come back. Our target is 10, 000 megawatts so that we can even afford to sell electricity to other nations,” Says Nalumango.
